You do not have to download any third-party applications to make use of it. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions below.
Step 1: The first thing that you have to do is launch the Settings app.
Step 2: Now, head over to Notifications.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap on Do Not Disturb.
Step 4: Once you do this, tap on Schedules.
Step 5: Now select the Gaming option and tap on the gear icon next to it.
Step 6: Toggle on the Game Dashboard switch.
This is all that you have to do to enable Game Mode on your Google Pixel phone. Once you enable the setting, launch any game and you will see a small floating bubble on your screen. You can move the floating game mode button by dragging it as well as hide it by dragging it off the screen.
Tap on the Game Mode bubble to open the Game Dashboard. It will give you options to take a screenshot, record gameplay, enable a frame rate counter, and turn on Do Not Disturb. You will also see a Game Optimization button below the aforementioned options. It will only be applicable for Game Mode-supported games. You will be presented with three modes in the option:
- Performance
- Standard
- Battery Saver
You can select the one you want according to your needs. Once you select these options, you will be asked to restart the game to apply the new settings. The new feature is a great way to enhance your gaming experience. You will notice fewer lags and stutters as the processing power is directed towards the game. The feature is working on the Google Pixel 6 for us but the option is also available on older models as well.
