  • She told KTCK-AM radio that she had to use a different name to sell real estate after the riot.
  • She said she is considering changing her name back now that she’s released from prison.

Capitol rioter Jenna Ryan said that she had to change her name to sell real estate after the insurrection, but might change it back now that she’s out of prison.

In a Tuesday interview with KTCK-AM radio, Ryan said she was forced to close her real estate business and reopen it using a new name for herself after the insurrection.

“I had to close my business … I had to do a little doctoring with my name and I sold a ton of houses last year,” she told KTCK-AM radio.

Her real-estate website, First Place Real Estate, shows Ryan identifying herself as “Jennifer Rodgers.” An Insider review of the website’s archives on Wayback Machine shows the name change took place as early as last June.

The Dallas Morning News reported on January 14, 2021 — eight days after the Capitol riot — that Ryan’s real-estate license had since listed “Jennifer Rodgers” as one of the names she could sell property with.

Ryan started posting about her trip to Washington, DC, to attend a rally in support of then-President Donald Trump as early as January 3, 2021. Once there, she posted several photos and videos of herself next to the carnage at the Capitol. She was arrested on January 15.

Ryan pleaded guilty last August to a single federal misdemeanor charge of parading on Capitol grounds. She served a 60 day-prison sentence at a minimum-security facility in Brazos County, named Federal Prison Camp Bryan, and was released last week.

Ryan told KTCK-AM on Tuesday she hoped to continue working as a realtor and was considering changing her name back.

“I think I’m going to go back now because I’m out of prison and it’s done,” she said.

She also said she would “do the storm the Capitol thing again,” but would never want to return to Washington.

In a series of tweets last week, Ryan said she had “zero shame” for showing up to the Capitol last year and still believes former President Donald Trump won the 2020 election.
