Method 1: Computer Management
Windows computers come with a computer management tool that can be used to access the disk management utility.
Step-1: Click on the search icon on the taskbar and type Computer Management. Click Open.
Step-2: Click on the Storage option in the left pane to expand and select Disk Management.
Method 2: Open Disk Management from Search
There is a much quicker way to access disk management without using computer management.
- Click on the search icon on the taskbar and type Disk Management.
- Select Open when you see Create and format hard disk partitions.
Method 3: Open Disk Management From WinX Menu
Windows has a secret menu that many people don’t know about. You can quickly access many utilities, including the disk management feature.
Step-1: Right-click on the Windows icon to access the WinX menu. You can also open it using the shortcut keys Win + X.
Step-2: Select Disk Management.
Method 4: Run Box
- Use the shortcut keys Win + R to open the Run box.
- Type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter.
Method 5: Command Prompt/PowerShell
Step-1: Click on the search icon and type cmd for Command Prompt. You can also type PowerShell if you prefer that over the Command Prompt.
Step-2: Click Open.
Step-3: Type the following and press enter:
