Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is among the high-profile celebrities due to testify in a multimillion legal battle between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard.

According to Deadline, Musk, along with James Franco and Paul Bettany will deliver their testimonies virtually.

The trial will center around a defamation suit that Depp previously filed and will take place at Fairfax County courthouse in Virginia on April 11.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star became embroiled in the bitter legal fight with Heard after she filed for divorce from him in May 2016.

In 2018, Heard described herself as a domestic abuse victim in a Washington Post op-ed in December, in which she spoke out against sexual violence.

“I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out,” Heard wrote for The Post.

In 2019, Depp filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard, claiming the abuse allegations were false and damaged his career.

Musk and Franco were dragged into the legal wrangle after Depp accused Heard of having “two extra-marital affairs” with them while she was still with him, Insider previously reported.

After dating Musk on and off, after she split with Depp, the actress told The Hollywood Reporter shortly afterwards that they now enjoy a “beautiful friendship.”

Deadline reported that while Musk, Franco, and Bettany will give their testimonies virtually, Depp and Heard are set to deliver it in person.
