Oppo just unveiled a fourth phone bearing the “A55” model name – well, this one is an Oppo A55s 5G, to be precise. It’s not entirely clear what the “s” stands for as the phone is basically the same as the Oppo A55 5G. We should note that this is quite different from the other Oppo A55s 5G, which launched in Japan. There’s also the 4G model, Oppo A55.

Oppo once again chose the Dimensity 700 chipset to power the phone, a 7 nm chip with two Cortex-A76 cores (2.2 GHz), six A55 (2.0 GHz) and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. And a sub-6 5G modem, of course, a key selling point…
