Today Apple has rolled out iOS 18.3.2 and iPadOS 18.3.2 for its iPhones and iPads. This release contains an important security fix that patches an exploit that has been used in the wild. This exploit was first patched in iOS and iPadOS 17.2 and the new patch is related somehow.
The exploit would allow maliciously crafted web content to break out of the Web Content sandbox. This vulnerability was exploited “in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals”, according to Apple, so it’s probably a good idea to apply the update as soon as possible.
