Four thieves wearing masks robbed a family-owned jewelry store in Seattle, Washington, this past Thursday. The thieves got away with $2 million worth of merchandise in approximately 90 seconds from Menashe & Sons Jewelers.
After threatening the employees with a stun gun and bear spray, the thugs took everything from the display cases, which included Rolex watches, diamonds, and a very valuable emerald necklace.
The employees went out the back door to a local gym to get help. The thieves escaped in a car and no arrests have been made at this time.
“You could still hear like a lot of breaking glass and banging around and stuff, so they were in there around noon still robbing the store while everyone was on the phone calling the cops,” employee Bret Gibson told KIRO.
Fortunately, there were no injuries to anyone.
Four masked robbers executed a brazen midday robbery at a jewelry store in West Seattle on Thursday, leaving with diamonds, gold and luxury watches in less than two minutes that was caught on surveillance video.
The thieves threatened the store’s staff at Menashe & Sons Jewelers with bear spray and a stun gun after smashing the locked glass front door with a hammer and stealing everything from six display cases in the store.
“We’re pretty shook up as a staff,” Josh Menashe, vice president of the family-owned store, said on Friday. “We’re gonna be closed for a while.”
