Jocelyn Nungaray, 12, was found strangled in a creek in Houston, Texas, last month after enduring a 2-hour assault, allegedly by two illegal immigrants.During his joint address to Congress, Donald Trump announced that he would rename a Texas wildlife refugee after Jocelyn Nungaray.

Last year, 12-year-old Jocelyn was brutally assaulted and murdered by two illegal aliens.

The crime served as a shocking reminder of the devastating consequences of Joe Biden’s open border.

“Last June, Alexis Nungaray’s 12-year-old daughter, her precious Jocelyn, walked to a nearby convenience store,” Trump said.

“She was kidnapped, tied up, and assaulted for two hours under a bridge and horrifically murdered.”

”Arrested and charged with this heinous crime are two illegal alien monsters from Venezuela.”

“Released into America by the last administration through their ridiculous open border.”

“The death of this beautiful 12-year-old girl and the agony of her mother and family touched our entire nation greatly.

”Alexis, I promised that we would always remember your daughter,” he said to her mother. ”And earlier tonight, I signed an order keeping my word to you.”

Trump then held up a copy of his executive order. Her mother Alexis, who was a guest of Melania Trump, was seen mouthing “Thank you.”

The order renames Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge near Houston as the Jocelyn Nungaray National Refuge.

According to its website, the refuge’s mission is to protect “critically important coastal wetlands so they can continue to benefit people, wildlife, and the economy for generations to come.”

Back in December, prosecutors announced that they would be seeking the death penalty against 26-year-old Franklin Pena and 22-year-old Johan Martinez-Rangel for their despicable crimes.

“We’ll be filing notice by the state of Texas that we intend to seek the death penalty against Jocelyn’s murderers,” said Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg, who is an elected Democrat.

“We are seeking death because we want the message out there, that regardless of who you are, but especially if you are illegally in this country, that you will face the same consequences as anyone else for murdering a child during the course of raping and kidnapping her,” she continued.

Ogg added that she had spoken with Jocelyn’s family, who had expressed their support for the decision.

“We feel that a Texas jury will sentence these two defendants, based on the evidence we have, to death,” she explained. “So we’re giving notice today to the defense and the court that that’s our intention.”

“These types of horrific crimes committed by illegal immigrants crossing our border have to stop,” Ogg continued. “The family of Jocelyn is in a position that they never dreamed would happen to them.”
