WATCH: Petulant Democrats Turn Their Backs on Trump, Displaying the Word ‘RESIST,’ Before Walking Out of His Speech

During President Donald Trump’s first joint address to Congress of his second term, as he outlined the steps his administration is taking to reshape the federal government, several Democratic lawmakers wearing “Resist” t-shirts stood up, turned their backs, and walked out of the House chamber in protest.

Throughout the speech, the Democrats consistently behaved like children — shouting, holding signs, and causing a disrespectful ruckus.

The protest began as a handful of House Democrats, including Rep. Maxwell Frost of Florida, stood up and removed their jackets to reveal black T-shirts emblazoned with “RESIST” in bold white letters.

Frost’s shirt also said, “NO KINGS LIVE HERE.”

As the politicians exited the chamber, escorted by security, Republicans quickly moved to fill their vacant seats.

While many coordinated protests seemed to be taking place on the Democrat side of the aisle, Sen. Chris Murphy and Reps. Maxine Waters and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez boycotted the event entirely.

In one act of protest, the petulant lawmakers held up signs with various messages opposing the administration and DOGE — including “Musk Steals” and “Save Medicaid.”

Trump was seemingly unphased by the constant disruptions and did not miss a beat.
