Legendary documentarian Werner Herzog teamed up with volcanologist Clive Oppenheimer to create a film that explores and celebrates meteorite phenomena from a geological, philosophical and cultural perspective. The first trailer for Fireball: Visitors From Darker Worlds touches on humans’ experience with meteorites, showing interviews with scientists who study their extraterrestrial origins and religious leaders who incorporate space rocks into their theological understanding.
