Lockdown state’s big virus call

There were four positive cases recorded overnight, but all were from international arrivals.Deputy Premier Steven Miles said this showed it was “better to have to lock down for three days than for three months”.Deputy chief health officer Dr Sonya Bennett said it was excellent news.“We expect no more local community cases,” she said. There were only 7514 tests conducted in the past 24 hours.Dr Bennett said she wasn’t concerned about the drop in testing rates, which was likely due to the Easter long weekend. However, she urged people to continue to get tested if they felt unwell. More to come
