If you have been waiting to test out iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 public beta then you will be delighted to learn that the software is available to download for everyone with a compatible device absolutely free. No developer account is needed here. Just use your personal Apple ID and you are good to go.

Backup Everything

Once you have made sure that your iPhone and iPad is compatible with the iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 public beta, make sure you have backed up everything using iTunes, Finder or iCloud. It is extremely important that you do this unless you absolutely do not care about your personal data at all. Please be safe and take a backup.

Tutorial

The great thing about the public beta is this – you do not need any cables or any computer to install it. Everything happens over the air which is nothing but a delight.

Step 1. Using your iPhone or iPad, launch Safari and type in the following address and hit enter: beta.apple.com

Step 2. If you aren’t signed up already then tap on Sign up, if you are already a member of the Beta Software Program then tap on Sign in

Step 3. Sign in using the same Apple ID which you are using on your iPhone or iPad

Step 4. Tap on the downward facing arrow next to Apple Beta Software Program and then tap on Enroll Your Devices

Step 5. Scroll down and tap on Download profile

Step 6. Follow the on-screen steps on how to authorize the profile. You will be required to restart your iPhone or iPad, so please do so

Step 7. Once restarted, go to Settings > General > Software Update

Step 8. Tap on Download and Install when the update shows up

Once the download is complete, you can then proceed to install the update instantly. It may take a while so just leave your device as is and grab a cup of coffee.

That’s it, you now have the first ever public beta of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 installed on your device.
