Samantha Sullivan, also known as Samantha McNeven, left the Pullman medihotel at about 7.45pm on Saturday night. The 35-year-old arrived from Darwin earlier that day at about 2.45pm and was transported to the CBD quarantine facility. According to SA Police, Ms Sullivan gave false identification to Adelaide Airport staff when she arrived into the state.Police allege she provided a stolen Northern Territory drivers licence. She was also tested for Covid-19 upon arrival and returned a negative result. The woman was last seen getting into a taxi near the intersection of Pulteney St and Rundle Mall in the heart of the CBD. Police called on the public on Sunday afternoon to help locate Ms Sullivan.Assistant Commissioner Craig Patterson said her movements when she left her room were captured on CCTV footage. It shows she walked to the fire escape and made her way downstairs to the ground floor. He said the security guard on the ground floor saw Ms Sullivan coming out of the fire escape and leaving the building.“The security officer was unable to stop her,” Mr Patterson said. “She was determined a level 6 arrival from the Northern Territory and was directed to go into the medihotel and unfortunately left without having the approvals.“Although this is not ideal, and on the face of it would appear that they simply walked out, we need to remember that it’s not a prison … and we know it’s not the ideal scenario but it’s (the hotel quarantine system) served us well.”Mr Patterson said Ms Sullivan was the third person to have absconded from hotel quarantine in South Australia. SA Police have since identified the taxi driver and know Ms Sullivan was driven to Keswick in Adelaide’s inner southwest. Anyone who knows Ms Sullivan’s whereabouts is asked to contact police on 131 444.
