First impressions are important, and the inescapable first impression left by the PlayStation 5 is: Wow that thing is big.
Sony released a teardown video for its upcoming console, and it amounts to a guided tour through the hardware’s innards. You’ll never see most of this stuff in the course of casual use, but it’s nifty to peer into the guts of such a complex machine regardless.
The video also isn’t devoid of actually helpful information. It opens with a rundown of how you switch from vertical to horizontal use, a process that involves removing a screw from the base and then clipping the base to the side of the console so it stays level when sitting flat.
