The senior state government cabinet member did not attend the crucial coronavirus update on Wednesday morning, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk revealing her colleague was ill.“The Health Minister contacted me this morning to say she has a sore throat so she has gone to get a COVID test,” Ms Palaszczuk told reporters on Wednesday.“The Health Minister is following exactly her own advice and I encourage everyone else, if you have any symptoms as well, to please do the same and go and get a test.”Queensland recorded just three new cases on Wednesday, with two of those from community transmission. The low figure is a positive boost for those hoping Greater Brisbane’s three-day lockdown will not be extended past the Thursday evening deadline.“If we see very good testing rates across Queensland and we don’t see any unlinked community transmission, the signs for Easter are looking positive,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
