If you share your system with other people, it is always best to set up a guest account so that people won’t have access to your data. I will address this tutorial and show you how to set up a guest account on Windows 11 systems. You can use two ways to create a guest account, and I will walk you through both methods, and you can choose whichever method you find most convenient.
Set Up A Guest Account On Windows 11
You can set up the account using Command Prompt or the Settings app. Just follow the methods below:
Method 1: Settings App
Step-1: Click on the Windows icon and then select the Settings cog. (You can use the shortcut keys Win + I to open the app as well)
Step-2: Select the Accounts option in the left pane.
Step-3: Once the settings app opens, select the Family & other users option from the right pane.
Step-4: In the section Other users, click on Add account button next to Add other users.
Step-5: Click on I don’t have this person’s sign-in information.
Step-6: Select ‘Add a user without a Microsoft account.’
Step-7: Enter the name for the Guest account, leave the password boxes blank and select Next.
Command Prompt
- Click on the search bar and type Command Prompt. Select Run as administrator.
- A prompt will show up asking you, do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? Click yes.
- Type the following command and press Enter:
net user ZarmeenGuest /add /active:yes
You can replace ZarmeenGuest with any other name you want. (You cannot use Guest)
I hope this helps. Let us know in the comments below.
