Thomas Markle said he is flying to the UK this year for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and hopes to meet Prince Charles while he is there. In a TV interview on UK TV channel GB News, Mr Markle also claimed he wanted tosee his daughter, Meghan, and her husband Prince Harry if the couple decided to travel to England for the Queen’s celebrations in June.Per The Sun, Mr Markle also said that he also hoped to meet Prince Charles and personally thank him for walking his daughter down the aisle at the royal wedding in 2018.“We’ve both been ghosted by our children,” Mr Markle said of what he and Charles shared in common (of course, Prince Charles and Prince Harry have had a strained relationship for some time now). Mr Markle hasn’t seen Meghan since before her wedding, and has never met his two grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. Speaking from his home in Rosarito, Mexico, Mr Markle said Harry was an “idiot” for refusing to attend the Queen’s jubilee events over security concerns. He slammed the couple for not bringing their two children Archie and Lilibet over to meet their great-grandmother the Queen, calling it “another slap in the face”.Mr Markle blasted Harry, saying he does not “respect” his son-in-law, suggesting Meghan “personally drove a wedge” between the royals.“I think [Harry] is a bit of a wuss,” Mr Markle said, saying Prince William was a “real man”.Mr Markle, 77, said he fears he will never meet his grandchildren, and he doesn’t think Harry has “ever grown up”.Mr Markle insisted he wanted to travel to the UK to “show his love and respect” to the Queen.“I’m going to show my respects for the Queen, and I’m going to let them know and make sure the Queen understands my entire family respects the Queen and the Royals,” Mr Markle said, per The Sun. “We admire them, and we want them to know that that’s how we feel about them and that’s how we feel about England.”Meantime, Harry praised the Queen – who he met with on his recent trip to England – for marking 70 years on the throne.“Being with her, it was great. It was great, it was really nice to see her in some element of privacy, which was nice,” Harry said. “It was just so nice to see her. She’s (in) … great form. She’s always got a great sense of humour with me and I’m just making sure she’s protected and got the right people around her.“We have a really special relationship, we talk about things that she can’t talk about with anybody else.”
